Tarshai Peterson, with 10 years of experience in arts education, has served as a Certified Theatre Educator, Teaching Artist, Director, Playwright, Curriculum Writer, and Mentor Teacher in schools and arts organizations. Her passion for supporting young people's academic and creative growth is the driving force behind The Treasure Box LLC, creating spaces where youth can excel and thrive. As an artist, Tarshai is an actress, storyteller, and playwright for theatre for young audiences. She believes in the power of the arts to heal and enhance the well-being of young people. She strives to be a magnet of joy, creating opportunities for young people to enjoy life. 

Tarshai holds a Bachelor's of Fine Arts degree in Theatre from Bennett College and a Master’s in Educational Theatre from New York University. She is proud member of Delta Sigma Theta Incorporated.
